Establishing professional contacts and expanding resources

This week I emailed several professionals, from the early childhood field, who were listed on the Global Alliance and UNICEF website.  However, some of my emails were returned to me because the email addresses were not valid.  Some of my emails went through but I have not heard back from anyone I contacted so I think I may have to do the alternate assignment.

In looking for an early childhood website to study I was trying to find one that resonated with me and easily navigable.  I chose the International Child Resource Institute website.  I like that they have projects in several communities around the world, they go where they are wanted and they use people from the community to help.  They not only help children but also their families.

Question
Is anyone a part of any of these organizations already?

  1. Hi Karina, I will be interested to see who responds to your requests, as will I to see who responds to mine. I went with Zero to Three for my part 2. It looks like a great site with lots of info. Michelle

  2. Hi Karina
I also have not heard back from anyone that I have contacted. I really hope that I do because I think that it would be so interesting to be able to communicate with them and learn about how they conduct their early childhood programs. I think that it is interesting that some emails were sent back to you. I would think that if UNICEF provided them they would be valid. I am not part of any of these organizations but I think once I graduate I may look into joining some!

  3. Hi Karina,
I two have not heard back from anyone I contacted, which saddens me. I was really hoping I would have the opportunity to communicate with others outside the United states. The International Child Resource Institute seems like a great organization. I am eager to learn more about this organization while following your blog.

  4. Hello Karina,
I have also not heard back from any of the organizations I contacted. It is important we try to connect with those of the same profession and same goals in the field but we may run into difficulties, as most of us did. I hope we all learn ways to communicate with international organizations and get a lot out of this experience!
